In 2009 we hosted our first supperclub with just a handful of guests, some of whom were friends who had come along to lend moral support to us! It was a nerve-racking day as we started at the crack of dawn with our food preparation. We have cooked for friends and family for years, small suppers through to full on party catering but nothing prepared us for the fun that we had during our first supperclub!
Joginder’s Supperclub is named after and in memory of Ma Rani’s mother who was an inspiration in life, cooking and love. Many of our traditional family recipes come from her. We love cooking and meeting new people so this is why are delighted that six years on, you still enjoy our food!
What is particularly pleasing is that so many of you return, some monthly and some annually. It’s like catching up with old friends when we sit down with a glass of wine at the end of the evening!
We have hosted our supperclub as far afield as France where we were very pleased to raise generous amounts of money for Breast Cancer Awareness and Cancer Research, two charities which mean something to us personally. We were lucky to have so much fresh produce at our finger tips thanks to our dear friends Stuart and Carolyn who have supported us from the beginning. Carolyn sadly passed away in 2012 but we like to think that some of her spirit lives on in our cooking as well as our day-to-day lives. She and Ma Rani were best friends for over 30 years.
Our supperclub is built on good food, warm hospitality and friendship. Time and time again our guests comment how relaxed and content they feel during the evening. Pre-supper drinks always help to liven the atmosphere and
get the conversation going!
Here is a small gallery of photos from the last six years to wet your taste buds. We would be delighted to welcome you to Joginder’s Supperclub and remember don’t be shy if you book on your own, you are not alone! Couples, groups and solos are warmly welcomed 🙂 New dates can be found on the right hand side under new supperclub dates!
For the last three years we have been regular stall holders at the popular Tufnell Park Tavern Food Market where we sell our chutneys, relishes, cooking sauces and our very popular handmade vegetarian Samosa and Pakoras. We also do a range of takeaway dishes to eat straight away!
You can also find our Samosas at a range of Organic and Natural food stores in North London!
Thank you for supporting our little supperclub in good old Tufnell Park and for enjoying our food so much. It has become a full-time job for us and we are delighted to be able to work together in the kitchen as a team to create our food. We look forward to cooking for you soon!
