Another year is upon us and what a busy year it is starting to be for us! We are so pleased that so many of you want to join us at Joginder’s Supperclub this year and we look forward to cooking for those of you who have booked already.
We are busy preparing for the Tufnell Park Tavern Food Market this Saturday, we are back in our usual spot! We are really pleased to tell you that we have some new treats for you for 2014. Back by popular demand are our Paneer Tikkas, our Chole Masala and Aloo Gobi plus some other new and tasty dishes to add to your Spicy Saturday Supper (or lunch!)
Our chutneys and relishes are now for sale online as well as at the market stall and at our supperclubs.
So do come and say hello if you are in Tufnell Park on Saturday. The market is open from 11am – 3pm. If you haven’t already joined our mailing list you can do so by dropping us an email at jogindersupperclub@hotmail.com

Hello Folks!
We are looking forward to a festive few weeks and will be equally excited to launch into 2014 with some new dates for your culinary diary and we will have lots of new treats at the Tufnell Park Tavern Food Market next year too! We are expanding our Samosa range to look out for some new flavours…!
Thank you to all our guests who once again made it a great year for us ~ we have a choice of two spaces to use next year (Ma Rani is very pleased with her new conservatory) so watch this space for our spring and summer dates!

Hello folks!
Apologies that the blogging has been somewhat non existent these last few weeks! Last Saturday we were delighted to host another fantastic supper club with, as always, great guests around the table! Thanks to everyone who joined us for the evening (Tales from the Green Room coming imminently…)
We are taking a short break during October and part of November but we will be posting new dates November and December very soon! We are at the Tufnell Park Tavern Food Market most Saturdays’ between 10.30am – 3.00pm so you can still get your supper favourites from the stall. We are also cooking for a number of events over the next two months so the kitchen will be busy!

We will be hosting a special Christmas supper in the run up to the festive week so do look out for that date!

It was a great evening on Saturday! We raised £250 for The Stroke Association so a heartfelt thanks to all our guests for being so generous with their donations! It was a very lively and enjoyable evening. Even some supper party games were introduced by one guest, the first of which left the table in uncontrollable laughter – it involved beer bottle tops and a black marker pen….
We were pleased to have our fruit and vegetable supplier, Dennis as a guest. He brought us some lovely strawberries which we incorporated into the dessert! Here are a few snaps of the food and evening……
We served a number of entrée dishes which went down a treat….Pea & Potato Samosa served with Mint & Chilli Yoghurt

We also served a new creation…Grated Paneer Patties seasoned with herbs and spices. We use gram flour so they are suitable for gluten-free diets! These went down very well with seconds and thirds around the table!….

Spicy stuffed mushrooms
The main courses included Masala Daal which is relatively new to the menu, Chole Masala and Aloo Gobi as well as some other old time favourites like Joginder’s Murgh Masala.
We were particularly pleased with dessert which this time around was very much European and stems from our love of Italy and Spain. We served up home-made Lemon sorbet with a shot of Limoncello served with Pineapple and Strawberries (fresh from Dennis’s allotment!) We have learnt that guests don’t want anything too heavy after feasting all evening so the lighter the better!
It was great to create a menu especially for our first charity supper club of the year in England and we were so pleased that all the dishes came back empty! Thank you again to our guests who departed for their carriages at 1am…..

Back in 2011 we held a supperclub with a twist. It was an evening for 3 budding playwrights to showcase their work in a series of 5 – 10 minute readings as part of pre-supper drinks and nibbles. With Saira’s experience working in the theatre industry for a number of years we were able to invite theatre practitioners to the evening who were able to offer advice and industry tips. Of course followed by an 7 course Punjabi feast. It is an informal evening with the premise of still being a supper party but with a fun and creative twist. If you are a budding new playwright at college or just starting out and you would like to use us as a platform please get in touch via email in the first instance. We are delighted that Melissa Holston, Artistic Director of TygersHeart Multimedia & Theatre Company and Co-Founder/Producer of The Love People will be joining us this year.
