Who we are

Welcome to Joginder’s Supperclub Blog!

Bringing North India to North London!

Home cooked Punjabi Food ~ A mixture of  family recipes and new creations by Rani & Saira

Joginder’s Supper Club is the brainchild of MaRani & I. Joginder Bejee was my maternal grandmother and one of the finest cooks of North Indian food.  Bejee  handed her recipes down to Ma Rani who in turn has created her own style of North Indian cooking over the last thirty years. Ma Rani cooks a whole variety of cuisines but always with her own twist on everything!

Ma Rani is a former head of science having taught for 40 years before retiring last year. Saira worked for many years as a stage manager working at places like the Watford Palace Theatre, Southbank Centre, National Theatre and the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, before taking a complete career change and moving to work for the England and Wales Cricket Board at Lords Cricket Ground. So you will understand the love we both have for theatre, sport (and teaching!)

We hope those of you who like good food will agree that this is one of the best ways to experience it. We love cooking, but don’t want a career doing it, and we don’t want to do it every night. Our supper club nights are done in the spirit of sharing and hospitality, and a love of good food.  We can’t wait to share our brilliant regional dishes with you and to  give you such an enjoyable evening that you will want to come back again!

We look forward to cooking for you! See you at the table!

    • Hi Shazzie,

So pleased we have inspired you! We run our supperclub as a hobby and because we love cooking and meeting new people – those three things are key! Do read the light hearted guide about how to start a supperclub under ‘Saira’s words of wisdom’ It’s exactly how we did it. Good luck with yours – do get in touch if you have any specific questions. May be we will get to cook for each other next year!
      Best wishes
      Rani and Saira x
